Jala Sanniya Mask – Traditional Sri Lankan Wooden Mask (Matt Finish) in Daha Ata Sanniya.
This is decorated with multiple colours and 100% Handmade by Sri Lankan Craftsman’s using natural Diyakaduru Wood and traditional hand paintings.
Sanni yakuma, sometimes known as Daha ata sanniyas, is a traditional Sinhalese exorcism ritual. The ritual consists of 18 masked dances, each depicting a particular illness or ailment affecting humans.
Jala Sanniya is one of that 18 masks and believed it can ward off Cholera/Diarrhea while bring protection.
At present this is being used as a unique wall hanging/decoration as well as a gift/souvenir.
