This Pair of Loving Swans called “Hansa Puttuwa” in Sinhala, a traditional Sri Lankan motif, signifies the unity and prosperity. This wood carving can be seen in the Ambekke Dewalaya in Kandy. This belongs to the 18th century, which is the era of King Wickramabahu-III and shows the pride of the Sri Lankan craftsmen.
